Yummy Duck, known in Japanese as Yami-dakku, is a Cantonese roast meat shop serving Hong Kong-style siumei from a tight spot on the north side of Ikebukuro. The brand was founded in Sydney by a Chinese-Australian owner, and reached Japan through a franchise route, with the Komagome store opening in 2023, Ikebukuro in 2024 and Takadanobaba following in 2025. A central kitchen in Komagome prepares the roast duck and roast pork that ship out to each branch, keeping the menu consistent across the chain. The Ikebukuro shop is small, with just a handful of tables and a counter, and the order flow runs through a ticket machine that keeps the queue moving. The heart of the menu is the roast meat rice plate, where diners choose one, two or three meats to lay over rice, with roast duck and roast pork the standouts, juicier and more generously rendered than the average. The shop also turns out a steady stream of delivery and takeaway orders through Uber Eats and similar platforms, and stays open from late morning into the small hours. For a quick, authentic taste of Cantonese roast meats without sitting down to a full meal, Yummy Duck fills a useful niche in Ikebukuro's busy north-exit dining scene. The setting is plain and functional, but the meat is the point, carved to order on the board and served with the kind of crackling and fat that travel well. It is a handy stop for a solo lunch or a late, satisfying box to take back to the hotel.
