About This Event / イベントについて
The Fukuro Matsuri is Ikebukuro's largest autumn festival, held in two parts across two weekends. Part 1 (September 26–27) is the Mikoshi Festival, featuring 15 portable shrines carried through the streets by 4,000 participants — a powerful, energetic spectacle.
Part 2 (October 10–11) is the Dance Festival / Tokyo Yosakoi, with 112 teams and approximately 5,000 dancers performing across multiple stages and streets. Dating back to 1968, this is one of Toshima's biggest community events. Free to watch throughout.
ふくろ祭りは池袋最大の秋の祭りで、2つの週末に分けて開催。第1部（9月26日～27日）は御輿の祭典で、15基の御輿が4000人の担ぎ手によって街を練り歩きます。
第2部（10月10日～11日）は踊りの祭典・東京よさこいで、112チーム約5000名が複数のステージと通りで踊りを披露。1968年に始まった豊島区最大級の地域イベント。全日程観覧無料。

Part 1 (Sep 26-27): Mikoshi Festival — 15 portable shrines, most energetic on Saturday.
