Sunshine City FUN! FUN! HALLOWEEN 2026 runs 1 to 31 October. The ghost-card rally and the indoor photo spots are already open. Candy, the paper-box workshop, the shooting gallery, and the doll-scooping stall are not. Those six days only, 11:00 to 16:00, at Alpa 1F South Entrance Plaza. The next of them are 17 and 18 October.
Two photo spots that do not wait for the weekend
Alpa 1F, in front of the fountain atrium, has Ehon no Hiroba. Sunshine City put a Halloween set there for the whole month. No ticket. You can take a costume photo on a weekday morning and still eat lunch in the same building.
The other set is sixty floors up. Tenbou Park is running Sunshine City FUN! FUN! HALLOWEEN Road. Children in elementary school and younger colour an ornament of the original characters at a desk inside the observatory. Staff hang finished pieces along the corridor as they come in. The display stays up from 1 October to 30 November, a month after the mall programme ends. Observatory admission is extra. Kids who colour get an original candy-box kit and sweets while stocks last. That kit is the paper you need later for Trick or Treat, so a weekday observatory visit can feed the plaza weekend.
Kids hours at the south plaza are 11:00 to 16:00
The plaza programme is 17, 18, 24, 25, 30, and 31 October, 11:00 to 16:00. Rain cancels it. Cash only.
Trick or Treat: elementary-age children and younger who bring a finished original candy box get a bag of sweets, once per person for the whole run. You can print the character sheets from the official landing and assemble the box at home. On those six days a workshop on site also makes the box for ¥100. A Sunshine City receipt of ¥500 or more, a same-day ticket for the aquarium, Tenbou Park, or the Ancient Orient Museum, or an Aquarium Club card, gets a ribbon to decorate the box.
The same plaza puts out a shooting gallery and a doll-scooping stall. ¥300 a play, or ¥500 for a two-stall set. Prizes end when they run out. Elementary age and younger.
The My Sunshine City app has a coupon for one candy grab per app, same hours, same plaza, while sweets last. Registration is free. One phone, one grab.
Ghost cards follow each facility's hours
The official story is that last year's ghosts liked the building and stayed. Children collect illustrated cards around the complex and stick them on a sheet until the zukan is full. That runs 1 to 31 October. Cards follow each facility's hours and stop when the pile is gone. Sunshine Aquarium, Tenbou Park, and the Ancient Orient Museum charge their usual tickets. The rest of Alpa does not. If you only have an hour on a school night, this is the piece that still works.
31 October is a concert downstairs, and a different Halloween outside
On 31 October, the CRAZY ANGEL COMPANY plays four free sets in costume at Alpa B1 Fountain Plaza: 11:30, 14:00, 15:30, and 16:00, about 30 minutes each. You can dance and take a photo on the stage. The last set lands as the plaza candy hours one floor up are closing.
The same Saturday is day two of Ike-Haro, the cosplay fes at Naka-Ikebukuro Park and the streets. That one is ticketed and packed. Sunshine City's programme is indoor, aimed at elementary-age children, and does not need a reservation. If you want candy without a parade, 17, 18, 24, or 25 October are the quieter plaza days. 30 October is a Friday, still a plaza day, and Ike-Haro's first night.
